Taiping Seafood Porridge Restaurant at Puchong is a Chinese restaurant serving fresh seafood dishes. Their main dish is the popular Taiping Seafood Porridge from Matang. We previously tried the seafood porridge at Matang, Taiping few years ago and fall in love with food there (Visit my blog post on the Restaurant Light House Seafood at Matang, Taiping). So, when we find out there is a Taiping Seafood Restaurant here in Puchong, we are so happy to visit. No need to wait for a North Malaysia trip to eat the seafood porridge anymore.

Taiping Seafood Porridge at Puchong serves delicious fresh seafood porridge
We ordered this pot of Four Treasure Seafood Porridge. We choose crab, prawn, squid and prompet fish for the porridge. This portion for 4 persons is at RM 150.

We ordered another pot of fish porridge with fish maw for 2 persons at RM 28.

The prawn is fresh as well. The shell is already removed and unwanted stuff already cleaned. You just need to enjoy it.
The sweet prompet fish meat is also cooked to perfection.
This deep fried fish at Taiping Seafood Porridge Restaurant, Puchong is one of my favourite food here. Recommended to order if you come to this restaurant.
The whole fish is so crispy and I finish the whole fish including the head.
The deep fried fish is so delicious, so must take another photo for drooling once a while. It is RM 2 for a piece and the minimum order is 5 pieces.
We also ordered the Deep Fried Double Style Fish. Delicious also but I personally prefer the Deep Fried Fish’s yummy taste. This one is RM 6 for a piece and minimum order is 2 pieces.
Like other Chinese restaurants, chili and garlic are provided. But I find myself didn’t touch them much as the food is so flavorful already.
Our Chinese Ti Guan Yin tea is served in Carlsberg’s cup.

How to know if the food is nice? It ends with empty bowls and plates. The tastes will linger in the mouth for few hours after meal.

In this page of the menu, you must order the deep fried fish if you are visiting for the first time. There are other vegetables to order as well and OMG they also have my favourite Braised Pork with Mui Choy.

Taiping Seafood Porridge Restaurant located at this row of shop house in Bandar Puteri Puchong. The restaurant can be found easily in Waze if you are not familiar with Puchong area like us.
Our dinner’s bill at this restaurant totals up to RM 229.00 for 8 of us. So, one person is around RM 28. Reasonable for the fresh seafood, the delicious porridge and the yummy fried fishes we had here. The service is nice too and the food is served pretty fast even though there are many customers. Definitely will come back again to try their other dishes.
