Finally the long awaited Taiwan trip is here. Since MAS ticket already sold out, we have to fly with Air Asia X. The in-flight meal is nice but the in-flight air is dry and the air-con is not cold enough for us. Our eyes and throats were dried up in the end of the flight. Hope Air Asia X will improve in the future or we will choose to fly with other airlines.

The sky is so blue and the cloud is so white that day. I must take a few shots. Hope it will be like this for the next few days
Blue sky white cloud, nice weather for travelling
The flight from Kuala Lumpur took around 4 hours and 30 minutes. Without wasting time, we switched to High Speed Rail to transfer to Taichung. Taiwan High Speed Rail has approximately 345 km along the west coast of Taiwan, from Taipei to the southern city of Kaohsiung. The operating speed is 288mph. The ride is so smooth and we barely feel it is moving that fast.
Managed to shoot a video while waiting for our rail. See how fast it moves.
The ride took about 40 minutes and we check in to our hotel, Taichung City Resort. Guess who is waiting to welcome us? A Gundam with a Gundam Nucleus? Not sure if it is Gundam or Taiwan has its’ own version of Gundam?

Without wasting time, we throw our luggage and continue to eat dinner and visit the Famous Fenjia Night Market. The visit here is short, only 1 hour. Manage to buy an umbrella and eat stinky tofu only. But do not worry as we will visit night market for every night in Taiwan.
Guy selling long ice cream at Fenjia Night Market. Worry cannot finish so I didn’t try this
Stinky tofu. Taiwan’s version is less stinky compared to Malaysia. Very nice indeed and only cost NT$ 50 per box. This is the nicest food I ate during this trip.
