After tasting the beginning of climbing the Mount Kinabalu, we went to eat the famous Sabah pork noodle (sheng rou mian / 生肉面) at Kedai Kopi Jia Siang (家香生肉面) in Kota Kinabalu. Kedai Kopi is translated as Coffee Shop in English. The ride in our tourist van took two hours and most of us slept during the journey. This is our second nice food in our Sabah Trip. The first nice food is the fish meat mee hoon in tomato soup. Until today we are still dreaming about the tasty soup and the fresh fish.
The big and bright business plate for Kedai Kopi Jia Siang (家香生肉面). This shop looks quite new and clean.
Look at the poster. The pork noodle has been around since January 1909 at Jesselton and this Kedai Kopi Jia Siang is around since 1997. Long time business equal to nice food?
The view of the open kitchen for you to watch how they prepare the pork noodle and other food. Spot the bottles of chili sauce? Saw this same sauce at many restaurant.

The super nice chili sauce. Taste really nice with the pork balls.
My bowl of sheng rou mian. Comes with generous amount of green vegetable as well. The pork taste blend well into the soup.
Top view of my Kota Kinabalu lunch. The dry soya sauce mee hoon, the pork noodle soup and the chili sauce. Personally I don’t like the soya sauce mee hoon but the soup is really nice.
Closer look the on pork balls in my soup.
See how big is the yummy pork ball?
A bite into the pork ball reveals the juicy meat inside. Not really sure what is the yellow thing.
