Frame Thai at Happy Mansion, Seksyen 17 Petaling Jaya

Kedai Makanan Frame Thai (former name Lai Thai Market) is a shop selling Thai food and other Thai groceries at Happy Mansion, Seksyen 17 Petaling Jaya. They serve very nice Thai dishes such as tom yam, pineapple fried rice, pork leg rice, Thai chicken leg salad and Thai mango salad. For the groceries, they sells Thai snacks, spices, sauces, instant noodles, fresh vegetables, fish balls and many more.

Frame Thai has just been renovated lately with more tables and chairs for customers to sit down and enjoy their Thai food. Most of the groceries are moved to a small room for customers to choose their groceries and snacks without being disturbed by the smell of the nice Thai food.

Another photo of this hot and sour Tom Yam soup noodle.  Spiciness kick once you feed the noodle into your mouth.  Syiok if eat during a cold weather day and prepare to get sweaty if eat during a hot day. RM 5.00

Thai’s fried rice.  You can order with pork, chicken or vegetarian with egg only as in this photo.  Not too dry and not too wet kind of fried rice and this dish is not spicy.  Dip some lime juice (provided for free) to enhance the taste.  RM 6.00

This pork leg rice is my favourite at Frame Thai.   The pork meat is very tender with just nice amount of fat.  The gravy goes very well with the brown rice.  As far as I see, Frame Thai only serves brown rice.  RM 10.00

The Thai mango salad.  Served with peanuts on top and some onions.  Sour, spicy and delicious. Another must order if you came to Frame Thai.

Boxes of Thai mango sticky rice.  Tried this previously and missing it everyday.  The perfect combination of fragrant mango, sticky rice and coconut milk.

This is the four flavors enhancement of a Thai’s shop.  The sugar, dried chili, peanut and fresh chili.  According to a conversation with a Thai’s restaurant’s boss, the food at Thailand are served at around 80% flavor and customers will add on sugar or chili up to their liking.  But I guess in Malaysia they cannot do that else customer won’t come again because the food will be not nice.  The peanut pieces are to be mixed with the tom yam soup and tasted nicer than nicer.  I do see some customers mix the peanuts with their fried rice and pork leg rice as well.

The whole pork leg which they cut from to serve you pork leg rice.  At first don’t want to post this picture as there are so much fat.  But it is too delicious to be ignored.

Just noticed this plate of barbecued and fried food at Frame Thai during my last visit.  Never get to try yet and they sure look delicious.

My favourite drink here at Frame Thai.  The Double Black soya milk. The thickest and creamiest soya milk drink I ever had in my life.

As usual, most Thai restaurants sell this Thai fragrant coconut to cool down your body after eating spicy Thai food.

There is a fridge with many kinds of beverages from Thailand such as Thai beers, soy milk and many more.

The grocery of Frame Thai

With the recent renovation in Frame Thai, the groceries are moved to a room at the back of the shop.  Here you can find groceries from Thailand such us those spices and Tom Yam paste.

Instant noodles from Thailand are also available in Frame Thai.

So many kinds of Thai instant noodles for you to choose from.  Personally I like the Pama instant noodle.

This is my favourite Thai peanut snacks.  Bite one and cannot stop eating.

Frame Thai also sell all kinds of Thai sauce.

Colorful packet drinks and Thai medicine also available.

New colorful table in Frame Thai make the shop looks cleaner and tidier compared to previously while the name is still Lai Thai Market.
