Old School is a newly opened restaurant in the Malaysia’s first enrichment mall, The School, Jaya One. They already have a branch at Puchong. Why is it called Old School? Maybe because the exterior and interior are designed to look like a school, with a classroom and a canteen. But I’m not sure what does the word old means though. The waitresses are also dressed in school uniform and there is a teacher or was it headmaster? The Old School serves many types of food such as burger, western, locals, snacks and sandwiches.

Old School’s Food
Grilled Chicken Burger, RM 13.90. My friend finished her burger so the taste should be quite nice. The chicken seems thick and looks delicious with the melted cheese.
Burger is served with an Old School flag with some salad. The burger is using charcoal bread.
Friend taking photos of friend’s grilled chicken burger.
Assam laksa with medium sized sardine. All food seems to have nice presentation as well.
Laupoh’s Nasi Lemak with fried egg, RM 7.90
My Grilled Chicken Steak, RM 15.90. Chicken is using drumstick part which is tender and grilled perfectly.

Old School Interior and Snacks
The counter of Old School with many snacks and toys on sale.
Some story books and childern books for customer to read while waiting for their food.
The drawing on the wall to make the restaurant looks like a classroom, with a blackboard and a teacher punishing her students. Does this bring back the school memories?
There is also this parachute soldier toys for sale, RM 1 only.
And also this balloon toy which I’m not sure what is it called.
When I was young, I used to buy this Mi-Mi snack in school’s canteen.
Chupa Chups lollipop available here too.
All the school children toys and snacks.
More snacks like Mamee, Mi-Mi and Bika. Never try the Bika though.
Me waiting for my turn to get onto the school bus.
Laupoh playing with a school kid.
Running around in the classroom.
The table and chairs in the Old School.
Big sister playing the younger students.
The official Old School badge. Every classroom must have a clock for students to see how long more before a class ends.

The menu at Old School is very special, it looks like an exercise book used by school students.
Each of the menu has a unique student name, classroom and subject.
On the first page is the profile of the exercise book/menu owner.

Nice food with good value. As I was smoking outside, a very friendly person was kind enough to remind me on the safety as my gold chain was exposure. Not sure this gentlemen is a diner or working there. But i am impressed with the extraordinary gesture. Cheees
