Restaurant Light House Seafood is a Chinese Seafood Restaurant in the small Chinese town of Matang, Taiping. On the way back from Penang to Petaling Jaya, we stopped here to have our lunch since it is going to be a few hours drive back. Recommended by brother in law’s friend, Restaurant Light House Seafood’s specialty is the fresh seafood porridge and deep fried fish.
Awesome Seafood Porridge at Light House Seafood Restaurant
My bowl of seafood porridge, with big fish ball, prawn and fresh grouper fish. Besides the grouper fish, you can choose pomfret or shark meat. The waitress keep recommending the shark meat but we never dare to try.
The seafood porridge is served in this big pot. I think it is Teow Chew style as the porridge is very watery. The porridge tasted really delicious and I believe it has been cooked for a long time with seafood.
Hot and steamy seafood porridge at Restaurant Light House Seafood. There is no air-con here so be prepared to get all sweaty while eating the porridge.
