Hard Rock Hotel Penang is our accommodation during our 3 days 2 nights company trip here in Penang. Hard Rock Hotel is located at Batu Ferringhi Beach. Batu Ferringhi is one of the popular tourist destination for the beach and there are many other beautiful resorts and hotels here such as Bayview Beach Resort, PARKROYAL Penang Resort, Holiday Inn Resort Penang and Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa. It is just around 15 minutes drive to Georgetown where we spent most of our time eating local Penang food and visiting historical Penang places.
Hard Rock Hotel Penang, Malaysia’s first Hard Rock themed hotel

The very first thing we noticed is this big guitar in front of the hotel when we reached. Since it is Hard Rock themed hotel, I guess a guitar is a must have decorative item in the Hard Rock Hotel Penang. You will see guitars everywhere in this hotel.

The hotel lobby with friendly staffs ready to serve you. While we are checking in, we were served refreshing fruit juice to quench our thirst from the hot weather. FREE Wi-Fi is provided in this hotel. Instruction to connect to the Wi-Fi is provided on the security key card holder. We are pretty satisfied with the Wi-Fi’s speed.

Since it is a Hard Rock themed hotel, you will see Beatles and other rockers everywhere.

The beach at Hard Rock Hotel Penang
After unloading our bags and took a quick bath, we hit the beach. The beach is clean and beautiful. There are activities available such as parasailing and jet skiing.

You get to see the sunset here on Hard Rock Hotel’s beach. But we didn’t wait for it as our objective in Penang is to eat as much as delicious Penang food such as our first night dinner at Kafe Tsunami Village and second night dinner at Lebuh Kimberley Street’s Awesome Penang Food.

32-inch LCD TV in our room. There are free in-room HD blockbuster movies on demand, DVD/CD players and iPod docking station as well.

The bathroom is rock star themed as well. The mirror is movable in case you want to watch your spouse ********.
The clean tower, the toilet bowl and the basin sink. Our room does not have bathtub but our other colleagues’ rooms have. How strange.
The bathroom has this window which create an infinity mirror effect.
Toiletries provided by Hard Rock Hotel Penang. Got shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap and other personal care items. All also smell very nice.

At night, we went to Hard Rock Cafe located at the Ground Floor of the hotel. The cafe has a live band stage and a Rock Shop selling Hard Rock’s limited edition merchandise and souvenirs.
