It is October. What does it mean? It means December is coming soon. Now is the time to plan for a year-end romantic trip with laupoh. Where should we go this time? We just went to Taiwan early this year and Ipoh, Malaysia a few months ago. Perhaps we should visit an island or beach this time. After thinking for about three minutes, those places came into my mind: Langkawi, Pulau Perhentian> or Pulau Redang?
Langkawi is somewhere I have always wanted to go. Yes, I’m over three decades old and have not been to Langkawi before. Pulau Redang is nice and I went there many years ago. However, there is nothing much to do besides snorkeling. But, what can we do at Langkawi? A quick Googling shows me there are many things to do in Langkawi such as taking the Langkawi Sky Cab, visiting the Langkawi Sky Bridge and Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls. But let’s skip the activity planning first and find a nice hotel to stay.

According to the official website, the sky bridge can hold up to 250 people at the same time and it is about 100 meters above ground.
So, we found Berjaya Langkawi Resort
We stayed in a very cheap budget hotel during our Ipoh trip and Airbnb> house during our Taiwan trip. So, for this trip we plan to spend more to stay somewhere super nice with super view. Actually, I just went to Lexis Hibiscus, Port Dickson for my company trip and we stayed in this very nice water villa built on the sea. You can watch a video of Lexis Hibiscus here.
Nice, right? So, we want to experience something similar or even nicer. Anyway, I feel not syiok because the water at Port Dickson is not very clean. Furthermore, we had a horror experience in the night during our stay because of the thunderstorm. Sorry for getting out of topic. More on this when I blog about it later.
Let’s do some Googling, “Langkawi resort”.
Ah, there is this awesome looking resort with high rating on Google with the name of Berjaya Langkawi Resort.
Recently heard about this Traveloka’s Malaysia website, let’s check it out if it has this resort. The screenshot above from the Traveloka shows the rows of water chalets on the seaside. Just what we are looking for. Booking Berjaya Langkawi Resort online on Traveloka is great as it has a rating of 8.0/10 with the cleanliness rating of 8.38/10. Just perfect since we don’t enjoy a dirty hotel.
The location is also perfect, near to the Langkawi International Airport so we can save on the travel time to the resort. It is also near to the Langkawi Cable Car (within 0.63 km) and Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls (within 1.39 km).
Besides the Langkawi Cable Car and Telaga Tujuh, Oriental Village Langkawi and Langkawi Sky Bridge are also nearby. And note the Wi-Fi icon! Perfect for those who cannot live without the Internet like me.
Since Traveloka’s websites already shows the tourist attractions nearby the Berjaya Langkawi Resort, I guess we will just follow the list and visit those places. Besides that, the resort looks really nice and we might just spend more time playing on the beach and doing spa or massage in the resort.
For the food, let’s see what are the dining places in Berjaya Langkawi Resort. According to the resort’s dining page, it has Pahn-Thai Restaurant which is a Thai Restaurant serving authentic Thai specialties. The name is kind of special as it sounds like pantai which means beach in Malay. It is built on clear sea water so I guess it will be romantic? Berjaya Langkawi Resort also has a few bars such as the Sunken Pool Bar which we can go for a drink before hitting the bed.
