Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle

Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle (洪師父牛肉麵)

Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle (洪師父牛肉麵) is one of the best meal we had in Taiwan. We came here after enjoying the scenery at misty and cold Yangmingshan National Park 陽明山國家公園. Because of the cold weather, a bowl of steamy hot beef noodle is even more delicious to eat to warm our stomach and body. Furthermore, we were so hungry after walking around at Yangmingshan National Park.

Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle’s chef has won the Taipei International Beef Noodle Festival Competition for three times between the years of 2007 to 2010. Now, Chef Hung has expanded to other countries such as USA, Canada and Mainland China. Looking at the reputation, I have very high expectation of Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle. Besides that, this restaurant is also highly recommended by our driver for local beef noodle. Reads on to find out about our lunch experience here.

Tender premium beef of Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle
I ordered a bowl of clear soup beef noodle with beef briskets and beef slices at Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle. There are many other parts of beef as well such as tendon, tripe and beef shank. There is spicy soup as well to choose for the beef noodle, but I didn’t order because there are certain types of chilies that do not like my stomach.

A perfect bowl of Taiwanese beef noodle.
Top view of my perfect bowl of beef noodle. A big spoon is provided so that we can scoop a big mouthful of beef, noodle and its soup together. The beef noodle is one of the best Taiwanese beef noodles I have ever eaten in my whole life. I can taste the sweetness and freshness of the meat and beef bones in the soup. It has been a while after our Taiwan trip and I still dream of the beef noodle sometimes. According to the website, the recipe is developed by Chef Hung himself from his 20 years of culinary experience. Besides that, Chef Hung chooses only premium beef and ingredients for his beef noodle.

Look at this premium slice of beef from the Taiwanese Beef Noodle. The beef meat is so tenderly yummy and delicious. According to the staff, it is recommended to eat the beef slices first to prevent it from overcooked in the hot steamy soup. If overcooked, the meat might become hard and the taste might be reduced.

Besides the Taiwanese Beef Noodle, we also ordered a plate of pork dumpling for sharing. The dumplings’ skin is so smooth and silky.
