Curate Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur is a dining restaurant which serves international buffet and A la Carte dishes. Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur is a five stars hotel and it is currently the third tallest hotel in the world. Our company came to Curate for Christmas Buffet dinner recently. Seafood at Curate, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur
Cold seafood on ice is what I always start to eat during a buffet dinner. There were slipper lobsters, oysters, prawns, scallops, mussels and soft shell crabs.
There are many types of sauces for the fresh seafood including lemons slices. The sauces available here at Curate are cocktail sauces, American cocktail sauces, honey mustard and shallot mignonette. Do you know that Shallot mignonette is traditionally served with raw oysters?
One of my favourite seafood, the slipper lobsters. Slipper lobsters are quite common in a buffet restaurant and popular among the customers.
Fresh prawns on ice are also available at Curate. This type of prawn is also my favourite buffet item. The prawns here for the Christmas buffet are fresh and sweet.
The fresh prawns are arranged nicely in this circle shape. The prawns look fresh and indeed it is fresh when I tried one.
The seafood at this buffet restaurant are fresh and delicious.
Scallops on ice are also available here at Curate. Scallops are also my favourite food item besides the prawns.
Raw oysters served on ice at Curate, Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur. Don’t forget to try them with shallot mignonette sauce.
Mussels on ice at Curate. Do you know that mussels have been used as source of food for more than 20,000 years and have been cultivated in Europe for almost 800 years?
My first plate of seafood including scallop, prawn and slipper lobster with cocktail sauce. The scallop and prawn are fresh and sweet.
Another side of the plate is the slipper lobster. Edamame is also served here at Curate.
The slipper lobster is cut into half for customer’s convenience. The slipper lobster’s meat is really sweet, bouncy and juicy.
Soft shell crabs are also served here at Curate. The crabs replaced the slipper lobsters after 30 minutes. But, customers can still request for the slipper lobsters. The crabs are fresh and juicy as well.
Salmon sashimi are also available besides the seafood on ice. There are a few types of fish sashimi at Curate Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur. During the buffet dinner, I had a few slices of sashimi.
I think this is butter fish sashimi. I had a few slices of this fish slices as well.
Other yummy cuisines at Curate Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur
Since it is Christmas, roasted turkey is also available for the buffet. The turkey is roasted with smoked chestnut stuffing and served with choices of apple cranberry sauce and giblet gravy.
The turkey is very tender and roasted perfectly. I enjoyed a few slices of the turkey during the buffet at Curate.
This is the Middle East Corner. I went to a few buffet dinners and I have never seen a Middle East Corner before. So, let’s try some food from here.
Kabsa rice with lamb at the Middle East Corner in Curate buffet dinner. I had a few slices of the lamb and it was very tender and yummy.
Curate also serves this roasted beef with Maldon salt and Dijon mustard. I like how Curate labels their food and sauces nicely.
Italian station at Curate Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur. You can request the chef to cook spaghetti or just grill some mushrooms and vegetables for you.
At the Italian corner, there are also cooked dishes. In the photo above are Boiled Potatoes with Dill Butter, Sauté Fricassee of Mushroom and Roasted Rutabaga Turnip Carrots and Brussel Sprouts.

Chinese food corner in Curate. Those are the ingredients for the soup such as scallop, mussels and brinjals.
There are many types of food such as Satay, Roasted Beef and Kabsa Rice
This is Curate’s hot soup corner. It is good to start a heavy meal with a bowl of hot soup to warm up our stomach.
There were four types of soup during the Christmas buffet at Curate. The soups choices are double boiled turkey soup, curry laksa, tom yung gong and Cantonese egg gravy.
Out of the four choices of soup, I tried the Turkey soup with lady fingers and Yong Tau Foo as the soup ingredients. Personally, I think the soup is not as good as I would imagine.
The Malay food corner in Curate. You can get chicken and beef satay here, together with other Malay food such as Paru Goreng, Ayam Pop Sambal Hijau, Kambing Salai Lemak Cili Api and many more.
This interesting dish at Curate is Chicken Kiev with Garlic Butter. Chicken Kiev is a Ukrainian and Russian cuisines, made of chicken fillet pounded and rolled around cold butter. It is then coated with eggs and breadcrumbs. Chicken Kiev is either baked or fried.
Cheese and desserts at Curate Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur
Some grapes and a strawberry together with the basil and garlic cheddar. Not sure if we can eat the grapes from here? Maybe it is for decoration only?
Basil and garlic cheddar at Curate Four Seasons is yummy to eat with their bread.
This is Emmental cheese. This yellow cheese is a medium-hard Swiss cheese that is originated from Emmental, Canton Bern. The Emmental cheese has a savoury but mild taste.
Another cheese that I tried at Curate is this Goat Cheese. All the cheeses here at Curate are so delicious.
My plate of cheeses and bread with some salad. The small plate on the top right is the Chicken Ballantine with Truffled Liver Farce. Those cheeses go pretty well with the bread here.
I think those are ingredients for the salad. There are almond, dried apricot, dried mango, honey and pecan nut.
Spotted this honeycomb with dripping honey at Curate Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur. The honey comb is a rare sight in a buffet dinner.

I also tried a Chicken Ballantine with Truffled Liver Farce. Not really sure how to explain the taste.
There are many choices of desserts and cakes here.
This is Stollen bread, a traditional German bread. Stollen is eaten during Christmas season. It is a fruit bread containing nuts, spices and dried fruit. Stollen is coated with powdered sugar or icing sugar.
Another type of bread here is Pain d’épices, a French cake or also known as quick bread. The ingredients for Pain d’épices is honey, spices and rye flour.
This nice looking dessert in a wine glass is the White Chocolate Mousse with Raspberry Compote. The top part is sweet and the bottom part is sour. It melts in the mouth and it is recommended to eat the top and bottom part together to taste the balance of both sweetness and sourness.
This is an Arabic dessert. The top part is very nutty as you can see almonds and cashew nuts in the photo above. The bottom part tasted very sweet with some taste of herbs.

Another dessert here at Curate is this fruit tart. Some other desserts that I did not take photos are Chestnut Mont Blanc, Tiramisu’ a’ll’arancia, Creme Brulee and Chocolate Pudding.

To end the buffet meal at Curate, you can choose the fresh fruits from this corner. Some of the fruits are starfruit, watermelons, papaya and pomegranate.
Freshly made fruit juices at Curate for customer to quench their thirst. Wines are also available here but not included in the buffet.
